Field of organic carrots

6/6/2019 – There is a whole new “crop” of organic growers out there asking questions about what markets are best to grow for. Many of them gravitate towards direct marketing at farmers’ markets and roadside stands, but they soon find that much of their time is spent selling rather than growing. Here I would like to introduce you to Clem’s Organic Gardens in Pisgah Forest, NC. I visited with Clem last summer and asked him about his organic farm operation which is directed solely to the wholesale market. In the video he mentions that he has only had this farm for two years, but I want to point out that he has many years of experience managing other organic farms. I hope you enjoy the video!
